Cannes and Celebrities

On the steps of the Cannes Film Festival as at more confidential parties, the red carpet leaves little time: a glance, a smile, a gesture that escapes protocol. I have photographed these moments in Cannes, from Julia Roberts to Harrison Ford, from Nicole Kidman to Uma Thurman.

My approach rests on a balance: the technical rigour that photocalls demand and the sensitivity needed to capture the authenticity behind the glamour, rather than a simple pose.
